Create your 2025 palette…
Hello Ladies and Gents,
A warm/cool welcome to 2025 from your resident stylist. I hope you have all made the latter part of 2024 what it needed to be.
As we approach the turn of the season, you may be wondering what to do with yourself, or more so, your style. What’s coming, what are we wearing, what’s in, what’s out? If you know me by now, you know that first things first when it comes to shopping habits… start with your wardrobe! It's the most sustainable way, and it’s amazing to see what you may have tucked away!
As we know, the powers that be, Pantone have set the ‘tone’ for the year, called Mocha Mouse. For me, it’s a silky shade of Hot Chocolate. But depending on how you take yours, you can adapt to this current trend by dialling the amount of ‘hot chocolate’ to ‘milk’ ratio. Then whether you add to it, cinnamon, brown sugar, hot water or white marshmallows…
Seasonal shades - which are you? I need to stop with the tasty sugary drink options I know!
NOTE: The Season’s neutrals are featured on the baseline. You will find at least one in your palette. With key SS25 colours above. Then above this, I have identified my ‘Colourful Edit’ swatches into relevant colours - because that’s who I am :)
Can you spot your season? Are there colours that you like? I do hope so! You can always come in for a try!
I’ve had a nice play in my studio on Sunday, looking at the incoming palettes… I was a little worried that we were going to ‘beige’, but alas, Pantone has turned it around into something rather unique and colourful. I thought it would be helpful to my lovely clients to organise your shades of the season (swathes are in the background of the image), so you can start to be ‘ahead of the colour game’ and then furthermore give you some styling your palette inspiration (forefront).
I know, I know. Good isn’t it? Your local colour guru, in good old Galashiels!
I do hope you find some inspiration here, and if you do, could you send me a picture, or tag me in the socials? And of course, if you need some help in the area of colour and style, I happen to be rather experienced in my field. So I would be delighted to assist. Here’s a link to my services.
I’m off to look out my Spring Summer colours and get a head start on this game…
